For those who dont use the sidebar

Is there a way that you could add an option for those who dont use the sidebar to not try and turn it on after replugging it in?

The only way I found to disable the Sidebar from reactivating is
start -> run -> gpedit.msc
User configuration -> administrative templates -> windows components -> windows sidebar
change "Turn off Windows Sidebar" to "Enabled"

The only problem with this method is that everytime I plug my computer back in, I get the message "Windows Sidebar is managed by your System Administrator."
It's not a big issue, I suppose, but it would be nice if there were an option to not turn the sidebar back on once plugged in.

You mean, something like "don't even try to do something with SideBar"?
If so, VBS works like this, if sidebar did not detected as running and not found between run at startup programs, it disables SideBar management. If it not so, you'll have to open an bug with repro steps.
